How to ensure a hygienic kitchen?

A kitchen is a place where we generally spend a lot of time. We prepare our food there daily and have good conversations there. Some people enjoy cooking, others make sure they spend as little time as possible in the kitchen. It is important that a kitchen is clean and hygienic. Yet this is not always the case, even when it seems clean. In a kitchen, there are often hidden corners that you quickly forget. If you have tiles in the kitchen, this can also be a breeding ground for bacteria. We’ve listed a few tips to help you keep your kitchen spotless and hygienic. So you can cook delicious meals without having to worry.

Disinfect the kitchen

Depending on how often you cook, we recommend using a disinfectant at least once a day. The most convenient way is to disinfect after cooking dinner. This is not only nice for the look of a kitchen, but also for hygiene. When you keep this up daily you will be amazed at how quickly you are done with this. Clean all the narrow corners and objects you have in the kitchen with a cloth. Also, make sure you do not forget the countertop. You can use special wet wipes aimed at cleaning a kitchen for this purpose.

Disinfect the walls

When we are cooking, it is insurmountable that grease splashes on the kitchen or tiles. Cleaning tiles is a tricky task. We recommend you thoroughly clean the tiles in the kitchen once or twice a week. Keep a good record of this as well. If you find this too difficult, you can always buy a plate that you can place behind a stove. Not only does this create a luxurious look, but the plate is also much easier to clean because you no longer have to deal with ridges. Just wipe it down and it’s done!

Provide hygienic kitchen tools

The utensils in a kitchen should also be cleaned regularly with a disinfectant to prevent bacteria from accumulating. When preparing a meal it is also important to maintain hygiene. For example, it is best to invest in a marble chopping board instead of a wooden cutting board. When you cut on wooden chopping boards, small cracks appear. These cracks are difficult to clean and therefore the perfect place for bacteria to survive.
