Kylie Jenner has issued a lengthy statement in the wake of a major, tragic controversy centered around the father of her two kids.

As you may have heard by now, Travis Scott hosted a music festival in Houston this past Friday night that grew horribly out of control.

Due to what authorities have described as a “mass casualty incident,” a hundreds fans rushed the stage at one point and were injured in a chaotic riot — while eight individuals died.

The incident remains under investigation.

Jenner — who is pregnant with Scott’s baby — attended the event with her and the rapper’s’ three-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster, and sister Kendall Jenner.

“Travis and I are broken and devastated,” the 24-year old said via her Instagram Story on Saturday night, November 6.

“My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured or affected in anyway [sic] by yesterday’s events. And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans and the Houston community.”

Scott, who responded with sympathy and sorrow to the loss of life over the weekend, has sadly been here before.

He was arrested in 2017 for allegedly inciting a riot during a concert in Arkansas and later pled guilty to disorderly conduct.

Over the weekend, meanwhile, Scott was named in one of what is expected to be several lawsuits over concert that took these eight lives, as some reports from the scene have blamed the artist for continuing to play while chaos broke out around him.

Injured fan Manuel Souza filed a petition Saturday in Harris County District Court against Scott over the “predictable and preventable” tragedy that unfolded.

Souza is seeking at least $1,000,000 in damages and also asking for a temporary restraining order to prevent any destruction of evidence.

The lawsuit also names Live Nation, organizer ScoreMore, Scott’s Cactus Jack Records and several others.

Kylie is trying to deflect blame from her long-time boyfriend, however.

She added on Saturday:

“I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing.

“I am sending my deepest condolences to all the families during this difficult time and will be praying for the healing of everyone who has been impacted.”

Many have criticized Scott and organizers on social media for NOT ending the livestreamed concert sooner.

in footage shared on social media, attendees can be seen yelling for help and screaming to stop the show.

A video reconstruction by The Washington Post shows the concert stopped approximately an hour after concertgoers were visibly in distress.

According to this outlet, Travis paused his set at least four times. As seen in Apple Music’s livestream, at one point, he asked security to tend to a passed out guest.

“I just want to send out prayers to the ones that was lost last night. We’re actually working right now to identify the families to assist them through this tough time,” said Scott after the festival ended.

In a number of videos posted to his own Instagram Stories, the artist said he prioritized the safety of his fans at the concert as best he could:

“Any time I can make out anything that’s going on, I’d stop the show and help them get the help they need, you know?

“I could never imagine this situation.”

Over the last two days, the names of many victims have been made public.

Two teenagers appear to have been killed at the music festival, with thhe youngest being 14 years old.

Our thoughts go out to their loved ones.
