CA Foundation Course duration– According to new updates, the ICAI has enabled the online enrollment for CA Foundation Course. We can do the registration on www.icai.org. The duration of overall completion of the CA Foundation course ideally should be four months. There are eligibility criteria for CA Foundation registration. The minimum criteria who are eligible to register for CA Foundation Course can either be in 12th standard or have graduated from school.

CA Foundation Course is the beginning milestone or an entrance exam conducted by ICAI. It takes place twice a year, firstly in March month and secondly in November month. Pursuing CA is tough, due to the growing competition and competitive checking. It is a rare sight if a student passes all CA levels on the first attempt only.

Difference between CA Foundation Registration and CA Foundation Application Form

Many students often get confused between the CA Foundation registration and CA Foundation application form. So let us clear it for you. The CA foundation registration gets you enrolled in the course but the eligibility of take the exam is not being provided through this form. Even if if the candidate has not been registered for the examination, then still he/she will be registered for the course.

CA Foundation registration after 10th

As per the new regulations announced in 2020, the 10th pass students can also register for the CA Foundation exam. As per the approval of the government of India. ICAI now enables the provisional registration of 10th pass students for the CA Foundation. Although, they must have given a 10+2 examination before appearing for foundation exams. CA Foundation Course Duration

The CA Foundation course duration as per ICAI is for four months. But due to failure in passing the exams, students take multiple attempts. The step-by-step guide to of CA Foundation course duration is below.

1st Step: After clearing of 10+2 exam students get enrolled with the Board of Studies (BOS). CA Foundation Registrations are allowed before December 31 for May Session and before June 30 for the November session.

2nd Step: CA Foundation required complete study of 4 month

3rd Step: Apply for CA Foundation as per the schedule.

4th Step: Appear for Foundation examination on November/ May.

5th Step: Qualify Foundation Course and then register for the Intermediate Course.

Students who pass the CA foundation exam are eligible to go forward with their CA degree. But without passing the Foundation exam, the students cannot go to the intermediate level. Hence, it is vital to enroll for the CA foundation exams timely. While anyone who has passed the 12th can go for the CA Foundation exam. Although this year has been an exception where a provisional registration has been added, in which students who are still in 12th std can register with their 10th std mark sheet.
