Here we are again, celebrity gossip lovers.
The Kim Kardashian sex tape is back in the news.
And you may be shocked to learn the reason why…
For those somehow unaware, Kim and ex-boyfriend Ray J filmed a session of their bedroom shenanigans back in 2007, releasing the tape just before Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered on E!.
It was almost as if the couple planned such a rollout of their recorded roll in the proverbial hey on purpose, in order to garner interest in the debut of this reality show.
The sex tape was titled Kim Kardashian Superstar and it made both participants millions of dollars.
We may have worn out the VHS back in the day, but we haven’t exactly thought about this iconic footage in a very long time.
Fast forward to Kanye West sitting down this week for an interview with Jason Lee on Hollywood Unlocked, however, and a stunning allegation made the rapper.
During the Q&A, West reflected on his estranged wife’s ongoing romance with Pete Davidson … priorr to recalling an incident with Ray J.
“How you gonna bring me to SNL and kiss the dude you dating right in front of me?” he said.
“And everybody’s like, ‘Oh, that’s, that’s cool.’ After I went [and] got the laptop from Ray J myself that night, right?”
Wait. Huh?!?
“I met this man at the airport,” explained Kanye, alleging he once flew to meet Ray J and was given a laptop by the hip hop artist.
“Then got on a red eye came back, delivered it to her at 8:00 a.m. in the morning and then I gave it to her and she cried when she saw it.”
West claimed the mother of four broke down because there was a second sex tape on this machine and “it represents how much she’s been used,” according to West.
“It represents how much people didn’t love her and they just saw her as a commodity.”
Having ignored most of West’s rants, raves and allegations of late, Kardashian felt a need to respond to this unexpected claim.
“After review, there was nothing sexual unseen, only footage on the plane on the way to Mexico and footage at a club and restaurant on the same trip,” a rep for the star said in a statement on Tuesday night.
“Kim remains firm in her belief that there is no new second tape that exists.
“After 20 years, she truly wishes to move on from this chapter with focus instead on the positive things she continues to do as a mother, entrepreneur and advocate for justice reform.”
Heck, even Ray J has responded to speculation over a second sex tape.
His manager told E! News a few hours ago:
“Ray J is focused on his children, technology company Raycon and his film/tv/music career at the moment.
“He only wishes Kim & Kanye the best in all of their endeavors and will not be discussing or addressing the past.”
Kardashian filed for divorce from West in February 2021, after nearly seven years of marriage.
She did so in part because, as cited above, Kim is trying hard to reshape her reputation and to become someone who uses her platform for societal good — while West is out there just saying crazy $hit nonstop.
We all remember when he told the world about wanting to abort his first child, right?
Kim just wants to move on from all his nonsense.
Just last week, Kanye threatened to kick Davidson’s ass, for example.
Kim, for her part?
She recently teamed with her SKIMS brand to fly the Afghanistan women’s soccer team to the United Kingdom to get support from an English Premiere League club.
Kardashian also met with Hillary Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea, to shine a light on a Black-owned vegan coffee shop, which aims to help community members receive access to healthy food and cultural opportunities.
