We have some bad news to break.
On a recent trip to Italy, Lawson Bates got down on one knee and popped one of life’s most importannt questions to girlfrend Tiffany Espensen… and she answered in the affirmative.
Yup: These two are engaged!
“Tiff, I don’t have a lot of words, because you’ve been taking my breath away ever since I met you,” wrote Lawson on Instagram yesterday.
The Bringng Up Bates star, who was linked in the past to the aforementioned Duggar daughter, added:
“Getting to know you this past year has made more brighter days and memories than I could’ve ever dreamed.
“I cannot wait to make a lifetime more of them with you! Thank you for saying “YES” to our forever.”
According to People Magazine, the 29-year old asked for the 22-year old’s hand in marriage after telling her they were headed to Europe for a music video shoot.
Yes, it was a work trip, but Lawson decided to turn it into something else as well.
“Our engagement happened right at sunset with just a few simple roses, and the serenity of the Tuscan backdrop. I was thrilled and overjoyed when she said, ‘YES!'” Bates addedd to People.
“We are so grateful God brought us both into each other’s lives, and now we are overjoyed and excited to start preparing for our wedding and our future together.”
Bates and Espensen started dating this February, a few weeks after Lawson helped storm the U.S. Capitol.
In July, Espensen posted a beautiful birthday tribute to her man… alongside a sweet photo of the couple.
“You are the happiest and funniest guy I’ve ever known!” the actress wrote.
“I’m continually amazed every day by how talented, patient, kind, generous, and intelligent you are. I don’t deserve you, yet God brought you to me as the most wonderful blessing! I hope you know how much you are loved by me and everyone else who knows you.
“Thank you for making my world better.”
The pair also just celebrated some other romantic news when they attended Lawson’s brother Nathan Bates‘ wedding to Esther Keyes on Saturday, October 23.
Wrote Nathan a day after exchanging vows:
“Getting married to my best friend was the happiest day of my life. Esther, I love you with all my heart and have been looking forward to this day for so long. It was so much more than I ever imagined.
“This was a fairytale magical day without words to describe the beauty and emotions.
“Esther, you are the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen or heard of in my entire life. I’m the most blessed man alive to get to marry you. Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life close to you.”
