As previously and tragically reported, Bob Saget is dead at the age of 65.
The former Full House star, who was also a beloved stand-up comedian, passed away inside of his hotel room in Orlando on Sunday.
“Detectives have found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” the local sheriff’s office said in a statement.
“This is all the information we have for release at this time and we do not anticipate further updates.”
The police added last night that the Medical Examiner’s Office “will ultimately determine cause and manner of death.”
Just a few hours before his passing, Saget performed on stage in Jacksonville and he was scheduled to continue on a tour through June.
While the public waits to learn more about what transpired and why, numerous figures in Hollywood have come out and posted messages of sympathy and sorrow on social media in response to this stunning news.
This includes John Stamos, who starred for years opposite Saget on Full House and then the Netflix sequel, Fuller House.
“I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby,” Stamos tweeted late Sunday.
On Full House, Saget and Stamos memorably played brothers-in-law, Danny Tanner and Jesse Katsopolis, who move in with their college best friend, Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier), to help raise Danny’s three daughters.
The kids were portrayed by Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
The latter pair also reacted with a statement shortly after learning about Saget’s death.
“Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man.
“We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has,” Mary-Kate and Ashley told Page Six.
“We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences.”
Saget was found unresponsive in his room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, the sheriff’s department confirmed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Along with his legendary role on Full House, Saget also hosted the first eight seasons of America’s Funniest Home Videos.
More recently, Saget hosted the podcast Bob Saget’s Here For You, in which he spoke with comedians and actors.
His final episode was published on January 3 and featured Saget interviewing writer and actor B.J. Novak.
Respected for his successful career and beloved as a human being, Saget was mourned by a wide range of celebrities on Twitter and Instagram last night.
